KENNY WAS HERE!   See if these pictures don't PROVE IT!   FLASH NEWS:  Kenny is flying back to WHITEHORSE in JULY, 2002 to pick up his GOLDWING and ride the rest of the way home!   Here are a FEW of the pictures Kenny took on our trip in May before his unfortunate crash!

Our coldest day in Alaska....31 degrees and slushy snow/sleet at one point Good shot of the iceberg spotters on our Ferry between Valdez and Whittier
Columbia Glacier
The beautiful view from the Ferry as we enter Whittier. The ferry ride from VALDEZ to WHITTIER is a MUST SEE!
Kenny in front of the beautiful view in Whittier. Right after this we rode between railroad tracks through a 5 mile tunnel. KIND OF SPOOKY!
Gas Stations were often a WELCOME site. All of us ran lower than we wanted to at times. (Harry's record: 4.911 gallons into his 4.9 gallon tank after coasting downhill into a station after the motor died on reserve)
KEY LEARNING: If they only have REGULAR, take it and be GLAD! Next station probably won't have high test either, and you can't make it that far! Kenny's best MOOSE SHOT
Kenny and a great view The Goldwing, Clean again
McKinley Viewing
Riding Near Homer
Moose Kills in just this one locality near Soldotna. Harry & Bill encountered THREE by the road on the way home from a bar in Homer!
our beautiful group at McKinley (mountain actually well over 50 miles away!)

Beautiful scenery in the foreground as well
Mt. McKinley
They're deciding whether or not we're a THREAT. We're deciding whether to run back to our bikes or just freeze where we are.

Who wants to mow the roof? Maybe the reindeer graze it off?
Meg, graciously posing for one of us for about the zillionth time. THANKS GIRL!
No John, this doesn't mean we're in West Va.
Where is the pavement John?

More proof that we all wanted to visit Ruth but ran out of time!
Possibly the ONLY Bar in Alaska Bill & Harry managed to pass by.......it was early in the morning when we came through, later in the evening in this picture Kenny took
More "facilities" at the Canadian border than Bill and I were led to believe!
Nothing to warn Kenny how treacherous the road becomes!
Wasn't the Canadian side of this highway supposed to be paved?
Last shot before the crash?
